Call Me Crazy by Quinn Loftis

Call Me CrazyCall Me Crazy by Quinn Loftis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So, I read this book a long time ago, and I thought I wrote a review for it, but I didn't, so here it is!
*this review has spoilers*
Book Description:
“I’m looking out from inside the chaos. It must be a one-way mirror because no one seems to be able to see back inside to where I am. The looks on their faces, the judgment in their eyes, tells me everything I need to know. The most frustrating part about the whole messed up situation is that even though I’m the one that they stare at in shock, I am just as shocked as they are. I know no more than they do of why I lose control. What they don’t know is that I am more scared of myself than they could ever be.” ~ Tally Baker After a devastating turn of events, seventeen year old Tally Baker is admitted to Mercy Psychiatric Facility where she is diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. She has come to a place where she honestly believes that her life is over. Her mind tells her that she will never smile or laugh again, that she will never be normal again. It is in this unlikely place that she meets two people, different in every way, yet both critical to helping her realize that she has so much more living to do. Candy, a cantankerous sixty year old Mercy Psychiatric patient, is hell bent on driving everyone as crazy as she is. Candy shows Tally that, regardless of her diagnosis, the ability to push on and live her life to the fullest is her choice and hers alone. In the midst of Tally’s oftentimes humorous, sometimes heart-wrenching, escapades with Candy, a new patient is admitted to Mercy—a Native American woman named Lolotea. Along with this new patient comes a daily visitor, her son, Trey Swift. At first glance, it is obvious to Tally that he is incredibly handsome and unbelievably caring. But what she learns through her second glance, and many thereafter, is that there is much more to Trey than he ever lets on. It is during these daily visits that Trey and Tally build a friendship far deeper than either of them truly realize. With Trey, Tally feels for the first time since being admitted that someone is looking at her as a person and not as a disease. Trey begins to make it clear that he wants more than friendship, but she knows that she can never give him more. How can she, when she won’t even give him the truth? Tally doesn’t tell Trey that she is a patient at Mercy, and she doesn’t ever plan to. Her plans go up in flames when she finds out that Trey is a new student at her school, the school where her brokenness was found out in the floor of the girl’s bathroom in a pool of her own blood.

My Review
This. Book. Is. SO. AMAZING!!!!!
First of all, I'm just going to say that there isn't enough stars in the world to give this book. I love Quinn Loftis's writing, and this is my all time favourite book she's written. It was the most beautiful yet heartbreaking book I've ever read. Second of all, I have to say that if you haven't read this book, READ IT!!!
Call Me Crazy made me laugh and cry. Yes, it was just that perfect. I'm not even kidding~ everything about it is perfect: the plot, the characters, everything.
Since that day at school when Tally Baker was found in the washroom in her blood, Tally's life fell apart. She was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and was sent to a Psychiatric facility. Without only her best friend and a 60 year old woman named Candy's support, Tally's life spirals down until... enter Trey Swift. His mother is admitted to the facility Tally's in where Tally and Trey meet. Trey steals Tally's heart and they help each other get through the hard experiences they both went through. They are each other's anchors and I love their relationship!!! :D

Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan

The Blood of Olympus (The Heroes of Olympus, #5)The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*this review has spoilers*
Book Description:
Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen—all of them—and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood—the blood of Olympus—in order to wake.

The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it "might" be able to stop a war between the two camps.

The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea's army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over.

My Review:
LOVE. THIS. BOOK. It was everything I imagined and more!!! This series is an AMAZING series, and I can't believe it's already over. Rick Riordan did an amazing job at making the plot so extremely exciting (as always) and I couldn't put it down till I finished the last word. THE ENDING... oh my gods, the ending was my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE!!! Here's what I thought about the characters:
Percy and Annabeth: PERCY FINALLY SAID "I LOVE YOU" TO ANNABETH!!! I've always thought that Annabeth was always the one who was more... romantic, I guess than Percy, and she always tells him she loves him first... so when Percy said that, I was all hallelujah!!
Leo and Calypso: It broke my heart when I thought Leo died... but then he didn't AND FESTUS CHANGED BACK INTO A DRAGON!!! That chapter was my ultimate favourite chapter of all!!! And it just happens to be that in the same chapter Leo goes back to Ogygia to find Calypso and they fly away on Festus' back!!!!!! ♥♥♥
Nico: NICO AND WILL SOLACE! I totally ship them together. I'm also really happy that Nico finally got over his crush on Percy. I also really liked Nico and Reyna's newfound friendship.
Piper: I admit that I really didn't like Piper until this book. I think how she was able to use her charmspeak on Gaea is super awesome and I admit she grew on me throughout the book, and I admit she's not that of a bad character as I thought she was.
Octavian: HATE HIS GUTS. I admit that I was really happy when he died. What? He got the Roman camp to attack the Greeks! I mean, I never liked him, even when he was first introduced into the series, and when he got the Romans to attack Camp Half-Blood, I lost the last string of hope I had that he would become good at the end. I also secretly hoped that he would be the one that died instead of anyone else, but I'm still real happy that it all worked out in the end with Leo and the cure.
Reyna: The only thing that I wanted to happen that didn't happen was Reyna falling in love with someone who she loves back! Though, I guess that never happened in the book, but in my mind, I imagine that she goes back to the Roman camp, where a new demigod arrives, and they fall in love. :D
Gaea: When Gaea woke, I was all "WHAT?!?!" I never expected that she would wake, and I thought the book would end with her winning and overthrowing them all. That is, until Leo, Jason, and Piper fought her in the air, out of her "home territory". I honestly thought that they were going to kill her, that is until Octavian just had to ruin it and fire a bomb that blew up the ship, *sobs* Leo, and himself.

So overall, AMAZING book!!! Perfect end to my favourite series and I'd recommend The Entire Series to everyone (and yes, I know I say that for almost all my reviews, but that's because I mainly write reviews on spectacular books- I know, my taste in books is amazing *over-confident ego speaking there* ;P)!!!
Now don't mind me- I'm going to go and reread this book for the sixth time! Au revoir! :D
